As part of stage 2 of Queensland’s Economic Recovery Strategy, a second round of Small Business COVID-19 Adaption Grants will be made available on July 1 2020. This grant provides support to small and micro businesses that have been highly impacted by coronavirus and aims to see them prepare for the safe resumption of trading in the post COVID-19 recovery, including adapting to business diversification to continue operating. The available grant amount is from $2000 – $10,000.
Round 1 of the grant was exhausted in just 3 days so if you missed out, now is the time to prepare your application. It is worth noting that for round 2, half of this funding is specifically earmarked for regional small businesses located outside of South East Queensland.
You are a South East Queensland business if your principal place of business is in 1 of the following areas:
- Brisbane City Council
- City of Gold Coast
- Ipswich City Council
- Lockyer Valley Regional Council
- Logan City Council
- Moreton Bay Regional Council
- Noosa Shire Council
- Redlands City Council
- Scenic Rim Regional Council
- Somerset Regional Council
- Sunshine Coast Council
- Toowoomba Regional Council.
